My name is Willa. My favorite things in the world are my family and making beautiful photos. I mostly grew up in Kansas City, but I love seeing the diversity of people and cultures and places all over the country and the world. I’m currently studying photography at Brigham Young University, and following my dream to make a career of documenting the world and people I love with photography.
I first started taking pictures on my mom’s digital camera when I was 7 years old, but I really learned the art of photography during high school photography classes. There I learned and practiced shooting, developing, and printing black and white film. My love for film and photography in general grew as a worked at a photo lab making prints and developing and scanning film for others. These days I am equally comfortable with film and digital photography: I generally shoot whatever is best for the project I'm working on!
